Somethings are just not supposed to mix. Oil and Water is the simplest of examples. For our purposes, our principal focus will be the merging of scientific and philosophical thought. This may not seem possible because their individual methods seem so opposite. Science has been the standard bearer for serious exploration. Its empirical method of observation, measurement and repeatability have provided a solid foundation for discovery. Recently, however, some remarkable results have changed the traditional outlook of reality. In so many cases scientists have begun to sound like teachers of Eastern Philosophy. It is a change which is welcomed by those of us involved in a substantially different discipline.
This particularly true of those involved in Quantum Physics. Their investigations have led them to new level of understanding. I can't begin to count the number of times I have have heard someone in the field say that all of reality appears to consist of a singular structure. I keep hearing the term of nonlocality which completely does away with our old perceptions of both space and time. The idea that we are all connected has become quite common. In fact, it has become impossible to avoid this conclusion.
So what does all of this mean? For myself, it was a confirmation of the Law of Correspondence found in the Kybalion. The principle is simple and inescapable. It simply states that since all of creation flows from one source, it does so with complete continuity. What manifest on one level of reality, manifests in the same way on all levels. Examining the explorations of particle physics helped me to eliminate a good deal of the skepticism which had dominated my belief system in regard to this exploration. I took one more step toward truly understanding the nature of reality and all of us who inhabit it.
